Minion Masters

Minions masters make things easier, nuff said.
The build I run is Animate flesh golem, Animate bone fiend, Animate bone horror, Deathly swarm, Mark of pain, Masochism, Blood of the master, and Soul feast, at 16 Death magic, 12 Soul reaping, and 9 Curses.

It works well enough, letting me maintain a large army with decent damage.

They are indeed fun, but what I personally wouldnt do is use Flesh Golem, AoTL is my favorite elite for human-MM, and for hero-MM I like to use Jagged, as they seem to handle that skill best. For what it's worth, I prefer hero-MM above human-MM, as it is a pain for a human player to maintain Death Nova on all minions.

What I never liked about playing as a MM is the fact that I wasn't able to move too fast through missions. So I stopped playing my Necro and eventually deleted it.

I actually stopped playing mine when they introduced the minion cap. Now he's just standing in ToA in case I want to use him for some UW/FoW action.

MM's just aren't my cup of tea. Yeah they are great for having extra bodies to be my shields, but otherwise, I don't think I'll ever be one. I'll stick with mt ele.

I blew through Proph on mine, any mission with a large number of fleshy enemies makes them extremely useful. The reason I bring Animate flesh golem is because he can be maintained even without bodies, and is strong enough to be helpful on his own unlike the ones brought up by AotL which are very weak in comparison to others.

This is what i use as a minion master. I like being a minion master, it's the first thing i played in GW, and i think they are usefull. I generally use the build with cookies and get to have death magic 19 or 20, and the dmg minions make is actually quite big and they're not just body block.

The last 4 skills i sometimes change them, depends on mood and w/e i'm doing ^^.

i only really MM in areas where theres more bodies than in china

Eh, MM's are nice, but also very pointless. Sure they give you meat sheilds, but that's all they're good for, that and spreading conditions. If you're going to be a necro, SS & Discord are the best. Along with discord, you can also bring a minion in the build, but only as meat sheild. Example how Discordway is used, very effective with minions as meat sheilds, while the minion aggro the enemies, you're as a backline inflicting amazing amount of damage on the enemies occupied by the minions.

If you combine OoD and and some Paragon Shouts, your minions will do a lot of damage!

I`m Usually use SS builds, I have several versions. or Blood builds like SV and Life stealer.
But occasionally it`s fun play and very useful be an MM.

True, but any massive AoE will make that pointless.

I disagree with u froob, necros are not only good for SS or Discrod, there are so many nice elite skills out there

agree, like the IV CoP Nuker or Mark of pain Nuker

I was talking about most comon elites compared to MM builds/skills.

Yes, there are much more uses. Like LC Dgenr, Soul Binds anti caster. I was just saying, Minions are only useful in some situations, but I wouldn't say full blown MM is very good choice for most pve areas.

MM was the first thing I played with AoTL, Total MM fun is vizunah square with all MM necros and a few monks =P
