Random GW2 Discussions

Post  Markus Clouser on Tue Aug 24, 2010 12:15 am

We'll have this topic here to avoid the spawn of other topics for small discussions.

To give a start, they talked about dodging, by double-tapping directional keys. Reminds me of Unreal Tournament.

GW2 Profession Images

Post  Zoldark The Blessed on Sat Oct 16, 2010 2:24 pm

Was sifting through Guild Wars2 websites and found these images. They look just like the images released of the other professions. Let me know what you think. I reckon these will be the professions.

They make me even more excited to get my hands on GW2 Razz

So I stumbled upon THIS a few minutes ago.

I'd normally call it speculation and the rumor mill just doing its thing, but when the publisher mentions BETA, you can't help but go affraid

Blade and Soul looks promising... I wonder if it will ever make it. At least GW 2 will see the light of day. Well we know this because of the demo. All that work into a demo and not making a full game would be wasteful (usually).

That was Anet's nice way of saying "stop asking us, were getting super pissed off when you ask"

The iterative process is what I'm learning about in ISM. Its is a very core process in all programming and system design. Believe me, it works however annoying it gets on the people not involved with your process (i.e. the fans).

I don't really care how long it takes as, knowing how these processes work you need to get them right or your whole project may have to be scrapped. I see they are taking careful consideration into their scope and other things to prevent a project failure. A project failure could mean a rushed buggy game or no game at all.

I just find it entirely too amusing that Anet had to put up a blog addressing the mass of impatient people on GW2 Guru and the like.

I don't think it's sad at all. At the end of the day it's a lose lose situation until the game is actually released. People are going to keep giving Anet a hard time because the game is taking way too long to be released for a game that was announced 2 years ago. But then if the game is released, let's say tomorrow, and it ends up being stupidly rubbish because it was rushed, then there'll be a whole load of people barraging Anet with complaints. Frankly, as much as i want it to be released asap, i want them to take as much time making it as good as they can.

I had a dream that is was playing GW 2 beta. And I accidentally moved all my gold to the beta and was broke...

We all know you can't use GW stuff in GW 2 but... hey!

I like that in the blog they mentioned that they don't plan on cutting classes gives me hope that the classes we know and love will still be around for the release of GW2. I definitely like the way they're going about keeping the fans posted instead of announcing the game and then hiding in a cave until people forget it's even coming. No hurries for them, the longer it takes the better it should be, right? I'm looking for this game to out-do blizzard games in every aspect so go for it arenanet! So when its available for pre-order I presume you peeps will be reserving yourselves a copy?
