Now when I'm back on my feet again I would like to do some VSF (voltaic spear farm) for moderatly easy money and some fun.

The only things we need are:

These are the builds that are needed, but these are just examples and they can be changed as long as the key skills are there, like, BiP needs BiP, thats about it and it doesn't have to be N/P. There are four spots left for random nuker builds, pick anything you want pretty much. E-surge, RoJ, SH, Virulence, FoC in example.

I never did VSF before but if you guys are willing to give some pointers, I'd try it.

i did like 100+ runs with pugs on my RoJ monk with arcane mimicry (before the permasin nerf).
Got some nice goldies from it, and only 1 q13 VS.. I dont like the skin..but love the money i got from selling it
Most work is definitly for the sin, and he needed alcohol as well for his runs.
There were a lot of bad sins these days spoiling the fun and quickness of the run, that's why i quit.
But an alliance run would be nice! if you need a nuker of some kind: whisp me!

I used to solo farm it prenerf of shadow form and I got around 6-7 VS, but I agree, the skin isn't that good imo, not atleast on all the obsi armor monks:P but the money you get for selling it makes up for it^^

We did a run yesterday, me, rafen, kovu, lord ballista and Hina and then we added some roj heroes, 11min I was doing the sin part, and I can say, it's a lot harder than before, specially when those spirit of disenchantment hit you.

But here's what I can run there atm:

Assassin(Runner)
Monk(HB or RoJ nuke)
Ritualist(FS dude)

And soon there with a mesmer.

i'd be interested. could run any class.

Draconic is also a nice skin and alot cheaper than a clone spear that everyone else uses.

I wouldn't rly be in it for the spear. more for golds and stuff like that and if a spear drops for me ok if not w/e...

i want the spear, for my paragon then the others are for the cash.

You farm it for the money, just a plus for yourself if you like it. And for Steph, wouldn't it be a lot better to get the spear and just buy the golds? You would get much more money out of it. Or you could give the spear you get to Baz as he wants one for his paragon.

i liked vsf a lot before i satrted dungeon running back in the day i would just sell my golds and not id them i did somwhere around 500-600 vsf runs and the math for me was about u get a vs every 100 runs and that seams accerate for most people currently to, for the ammount of runs your doing there are more profitable things to do if your just trying to get a vs, but i mean the golds are nice it's somthing quick u can do in down time and can meet new people doing it so i think it's still worth it

just run something simple like an RoJ where you won't get complained at for failing
usually the bip or ranger knows what they're doing so they'll order you when to step back
a few nice skins and bits you get from this... good may to get money + ID Title.
never seen a VS dropped myself tho :S still worth giving it a go
