Tips for Price Checking Materials.
Sticky Please!
Common Materials:
1. For common materials: trader price for 10 pieces multiplied by 25 = stack price High.
1.a. Anything priced at 100g exactly for 10 pieces has the actual merch value as the low end stack price. Bones is such a special case. 100 for 10 x 25 2.5 k (high) 30 for 10 x 25 750 g (low/ Merch Value). Wood is another.
2. Take ten of any material to trader and try to sell it to him/her. Then multiply that buy price by 25. You just got the low end stack price.
3. When selling for best price possible, try for 10-25% less than highest value (see 1).
4. Merchant value is at a loss always except when the material in quest has a base trader value of 100 for 10. It is usually 750-1k a stack.
Rare Materials:
1. A stack of rare materials is 250 x trader price (high)
2. Buy back (trader) x 250 is low end price.
3. When selling, try to sell at least 10% off. i.e. 8 k ecto will be 7.2 k each.
4. Do not ever sell at Merchant value unless you are selling monstrous eyes (lol). All rare materials are 20-100 g each or 5000-25000 a stack @ a merchant.
5. Making certain rare materials is actually cheaper per unit than buying at the trader. Especially for the harder to find ones, such as Deldrimor Steel, Damask, Vellum, and Elonian Leather.
