Secret Dwayna (Wintersday event)

Heya!

During some wintersday, there was an event on guildwiki with a secret Santa, or, rather, a secret Dwayna, to honor Guild Wars.

Now, I was thinking that maybe we could have something similar in the alliance? I could host it, if the idea is to your liking.

Anyway, a quick rundown for those that do not know what this is about:

It would function as so, that people notify me/post in this thread if they want to join in, and tell me what kind of items they would prefer.
Then I would edit this post with all entrants, along with what they prefer. Stop date would be around 15th, I think, and after that, no more entrants. At the 15th, I will make a lottery at home, where names will be dragged, and assigned a recipient. I will tell them in pm in game or pm here, whatever you prefer. Then, you see what the one you have been assigned wants, and try to get them something like that.
Once you've decided on your gift, you let me know and I will trade the item (or gold, of course) with you, and note to whom it will go. Then, sometime during the 23rd, I will meet with people in, say, LOVE gh and deliver their gifts.

I was thinking of a price range between 10-20k, but feel free to come with suggestions. I don't think we should go higher than that, though.
Any suggestions on a range of time during the 23rd would be nice as well, something that works both for European players like me, American player and, if we have any, asian players.

Example of a way to join: "I wish to join, Mirnaera Dragonslay, and I would like some of the following: items for titles (drunkard, sweet tooth, party animal), zkeys, undedicated minis or gold."
Then, the one that has me assigned may get me anything among those, in the price range 10-20k. (Of course, if you want, you can go higher, but then you might not get the same amount back).

Katherina Angelz - Celestial Scepter/Wand; Sweets, Alcohol, zkeys, ectos, rubies & sapphires
Safire Ace - Would prefer Sweets or gold
Sonic Recreation - zkeys and/or cons
Weza Sabreclaw - Zkeys
Yumiko Ishida - Oppressor Wand in Water Magic. If too much money, 10 z keys will suffice
Zaru Shadowstriker - "Surprise me".

This would be fun, but i have an event going on already and none seems to care as no one looks on here ever. I want to talk to leaders about making joining forums mandatory.

I love the idea though, let's do this along side mine.

Yea, I think one has to advertise in the alliance chat to get any speed in it.
And I agree with the fact that joining should be mandatory, and some activity as well.

Anyway, I'm going forward with this, even though the price range and dates can still be changed, so, feel free to join up.

Dropping by for a quick notice.

Today, my account was hacked, and after I reported it, PlayNC froze the account, even though I had managed to snatch it back. As such, I'm not in place to make the last call announcements I had in mind, and I don't know how long it will take to unfreeze the account. So, best case scenario, this event will have it's last day tomorrow instead (so take your shots, now!).
Worst case scenario, this event will have to be put on hold. I have no intention of quitting it, but I can't do so much if I am unable to log on.

Artin: yeah, I don't think that'll be much of a risk. I mean, I did get it back before I contacted support. My intention was just to notify them, but they apparently did not read my text very well. So, "all" I've lost is just 20 ecto, black and white dye and about all the gold I had, plus some birthday cupcakes and other material. Still, I'll manage.

I've heard this is happening a lot lately! I agree with Marcus, it totally sucks and yes guild wars support is not very helpful sometimes.
Hope everything gets figured out soon so you can play again!
