10-skill system
Re: 10-skill system
I dont know, it kinda sounds like they are 'forcing' us to play in a certain way, as some slots can only contain certain skills. But I will have to see how it will turn out in practice, it might work out pretty well.

I sort of like it because you can change your build just by swapping weapons, but other than that it offers very little flexibility especially since there won't be any secondary professions. We'll have to wait and see.

Re: 10-skill system
My thoughts on the system is "Let's wait and see." Although I like the flexibility of changing my build at any given time, it also is a curse since choosing the wrong skill out of the 50+ skills available suddenly makes a season veteran of the game a "complete noob" upon allowing a PUG to see their build (now, let's be honest, this has happened to everyone at least once). I do like this idea as it means that I won't have to go through a seemingly endless number of useless, silly, and already unlocked skills just to find the one skill that I'm looking for when I don't remember the name of the skill (one of my pet peeves about the game). With less options, this does mean that the game will be seemingly harder as now everyone has the same skill set and there's no changing it when you go from area to area but it does mean that no one can be accused of having an "inferior build" which will be nice for a change.

I agree with Zaz, and Seira. I really can't say my opinion till i play it. But its kinda like GW one, I'm a necro and if i have a cold weapon i can use Spinal shivers and interupt the enemys. And its kinda like the ele weapons, the ele can put on that skill if forgot what its called though. Like if the warrior is using a cold sword the ele can use some water skill that makes the allys cold sword do more damge. But I know this isn't the case in GW2. I'm on the Can't decide list!

Re: 10-skill system
Speaking as a warrior, I like that the first 5 skills are chosen. Heck, I've been criticized so many times over the years for using Sever Artery & Gash and now its an automatic sword skill chain (with Final thrust added). I've also been blasted for having self heals (that a monk's job), but GW2 everyone now has self heals on them. Frankly, if anything this systems means that I should not have to worry about my neighbor not having at least 5 decent skills, a self heal, a rez and and Elite of some sort.. The other three skills - do whatever you want and have a blast.

Re: 10-skill system
As a warrior I hated, utterly hated bleeding, deep wound, cripple and even KD. Conditions in general. As a warrior (if I so wish to), I want to be able to do damage with my skills and nothing more. Maybe a self heal or a dmg protection / buffer of some sort. I understand that SA|G|FT will be a combo and as the CB of this year showed, it might actually be a fun one to use.

I love it! No more Gimmicks! Now play with what you got...
