Skimming through Guru I stumbled onto a handy little topic that deserves a good read. Go here for the whole thing.

But for the sake of TL;DR and multiple repeated quotes, there are a few quotes in particular that caught my eye...

Kristen or Patrick Axlen (the gentleman who has been doing a lot of the porting work on the costumes) would know better than I, but if I had to make an educated guess, I'd say costumes take slightly longer. Since they need to go across all rigs, the artists spend a fair amount of time fixing problems that may pop up on one profession, but not others. To answer the initial question, if we did something like this, it wouldn't be any time soon. We've got our art budget set for the year, and most of it has gone to things like rewards and new factions (har) for Cantha, as well some other things we'll talk about later on in the year. Having said that, I'll keep this in mind since there are other things relevant to the HoM I'd like to address (specifically there's some titles that I'm not happy with the implementation of...) Really, it's the just last sentence that begs for speculation. Suspect

Just wanted to chime in here in regards to promises and updates and whatnot. I've stated in a few places the order that things would be happening, but it usually hasn't been in concentrated form. The original order was Keiran stuff -> Wintersday -> FB -> Cantha -> Things people are going to be surprised by (that we're not talking about yet.) We changed it a bit so that Dervish comes after Wintersday, and before FB. It's been a long time coming, and it's a pretty major change. I am personally looking forward to the day when the first response to every update is "Where's the (anything other than Dervish) update?" As far as I'm aware, we haven't done anything that has deviated from the things I've said. Sometimes information tends to get skewed by the telephone game, (especially on forums) so hopefully this clears up some of those misunderstandings. John Stumme 02:10, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
A time line! So all there is to look forward to is the Derv update > FB (Feature Build: Includes Embark Beach, "hero stuff", and various other things) > WoC.

Curtailing a bit more incorrect information: Winds of Change won't be "tied" to Canthan New Year. The festival is its own thing, and WoC is independent of it. WoC will be the major story over the course of next year, so no worries about Cantha not getting enough love compared to Prophecies.

Hello to you, my friends who share information on the Wiki and forums! If anyone feels like relaying this, since it seems to be causing some conflict: the only thing required to get to Winds of Change when it comes out is that you have beaten Factions. It's entirely its own storyline, and I want to be able to start fresh with it
Just so that can stop. Razz

Last but certainly not least: Derv update.

We're planning to release something about it, yeah. I don't have a specific date for it since skill balance is Robert's domain, but I do think people will be surprised when they see just how much went into the update. Hint: it's not just a bunch of number changes. [[John_Stumme|'''John Stumme''']] 22:06, 6 December 2010 (UTC)

As far as a preview of a thing, I've confirmed we are going to do a Dervish update preview. [[John_Stumme|'''John Stumme''']] 17:54, 22 December 2010 (UTC)

Total overhaul it seems.

And now, speculate.
