Re: Elementalist builds
I usually run air magic if I have to use my ele(HM only)....as you know fire magic is crap, so i prefer Invoke Lightning nuking build. Just add some other air skills +good energy management and you're ready to go. Dont bother with blind...costs way too much energy, preferably use some necro hero for anti- melee^^
Earth is rather weak....only good thing about it is wards....but it's boring to play them....
Water....uhm Mirror Of Ice?

Re: Elementalist Builds
This might not be what you necessarily had in mind, but one AoE build that I've found is a fun/decent jack-of-all-areas is this:
I generally set up either Tenai's [7] or Searing [7] on a Glyph of Renewal [3] and Arcane Echo [5] chain, and throw in Glyph of Lesser Energy [4] and Rodgort's [6] whenever everything else is recharging. As long as you are willing to either keep mobs together and/or switch between targets quickly, it will dole out a decent amount of damage while not having to deal with the exhaustion, and as long as you coordinate [4] and [6] (and Fire Attunement), you shouldn't have any energy management problems (or if you take along a necro with Blood is Power).
