vent admins

it would be a good idea if vent admins didnt hide in rooms that require passwords.

the other day some twat joined vent and started swearing and calling all americans cunts, hina wasnt in game but was on vent in a passworded room so couldnt be contacted.

yesterday someone asked me or artemus if we was admins cause he had a problem, marcus was in game but didnt reply to whispers and was on vent in a passworded room again so couldnt be contacted.

i know i could of asked for the password in advance but i realy didnt expect there to be problems on vent so have never bothered, as admin they can remove people from secret rooms so id say just drop the passwords to make life easier for others.

or maybe switch to ts3, it a much better system overall and allows you to whipser people in other channels.

they can't drop the password... since hina is staying in "naughty room" who knows what she's talking about and we don't want kids going in there. As for markus he has "office room" and that's for meeting and w/e, and again we might not want others to come in the room and bother the meeting .

If u can't get markus by pm in gw and i'm online, don't be scared and pm me .

You seem to be the only one ever bitching about vent. I was on vent, but not in the guild at the time. I was contacted by Rafen about the situation, but little information was given about the problem. Looked and only you and artemus. I sent a pm via vent to art asking what the guy was saying, no reply. I even sent a pm via vent to you, and no reply. Each officer has admin access so any of them can deal with any problems with people you are having on vent, then again I'm pretty sure there will be tons more problems you will have with vent because they never end.

I'm sorry, but I cannot be online 24/7. Real life is more important.
As for the password, I doubt.

The matter in question was dealt with straight away by an Officer from one of the alliance guilds, so no real harm done, Fortunately I am old enough to NOT take offence when some idiot starts hurling abusive language about on vent. The point of the complaint at the time was based on the things being said which could have been extremely offensive to other people, and had any of it appeared in general 'in game' chat it would have easily led to a full ban from the game.

Yes, Hina did pm me through vent chat but, unfortunately, I didn't see it until much later.

It would appear the person asking for an admin was the same person using abusive language and it seems a friend of his got banned from vent. Whether it was in error or related to the bad language issue I don't know.

At the end of the day, no-one can be expected to police vent 24/7 and problems like this are rare. It is just a shame that some people are too immature to use it properly.

they were only poeple in the rooms, a password could be added when its needed

Usually if I'm there I'm either away (if I'm alone) or talking (if with someone). Call it, my AFK room. If I'm there alone I might as well not be home.
